What I found cool Oct. 8 through Oct. 14

This video is one of the more interesting talks I have heard in a long while.

With the recent release of the movie, there has been an influx in 'Transformers' products including beltbuckles.

These guys should get a mention in the new movie.

OK last transformers thing, but I just couldn't believe that a guy actually would build one.

2007 isn't over yet but I guess that it is 'over enough' for the best inventions of 2007 to be announced.

What I found cool Sept. 28 through Oct. 7

I love street art and this storm drain art is great.

People constantly say, "there was a recent study" but study caught my eye. I have returned wallets before in the past easily because I make sure to never look at how much is in there.

Too many gamers would talk a big game with a keyboard that gives the entire room a blue tint.

Playing guitar skillfully is alone enough to be considered cool but when you add technology you jump a few places in my book.

Two 'not so quick' science links for those who enjoy it about alzheimer's and weird attributes of water.

I finally found the perfect gift for all my coffee addicted friends.

One of the best services someone can supply is easy access to information. This one little program helped me see more reason to certain laws ratified and mergers that have taken place over the past few years.

Speaking of aquisitions and mergers...

If you are big of renewable energy this wave farm should really get your blood flowing. The waves should continue but the mechanics of the generators themselves seem to be plagued with possible issues involving salt water in my mind.

Happening upon budding internet communities is exciting to me and makes me want to jump of the small but growing coin stacking bandwagon.

Moving opens your eyes to products you have never seen before including these neat plates which help you determine how much to put on your plate depending on how hungry to feel. Here is a much better image for clarity.

This imaging trick was seriously one of the coolest ideas I have seen in a pretty good while. The execution was flawless.

I am not a big fan of Bono but none-the-less his liberty medal speech was one of the best speeches I have heard in a month or so. He was up against some very stiff competition.

This video of people in colored jumpsuits doing a choreographed dance is apparently called the human LCD screen.

All throughout life it is important to find something that you are passionate about.

I kind of really want this paper weight even though I am no architect.

So this past week was full of reports about this new battery for laptops that would be out in 30 years that was going to last for years. Seems to not be so true.

What I found cool Sept. 24-27

This is going to be part of the backbone of my geek kitchen.

And this clock will be on the counter.

This is the first new age watch that I have actually found functional and stylish.

This is a cool idea not just to keep the annoying kids who practice in public places just to be heard but also as a direct input into a recorder without a full on box or external interference.

Seriously, anything with lego, motorized, and AT-AT is a win.

I smile the most, when people put two things together that seem as though it is common sense but no one has done it yet. Really a wind-up lamp seems like the perfect fit for my bedside lamp.

This is one of those things that causes you to stop dead in your tracks, take a breath, and say 'Really?' The paintball tank is perfect for hitting static or slow moving targets while only needing to worry about retaliation in the form of molotov cocktails.

This is a character I found interesting because I had never seen it before. Also, its affect is very cool.

Just when you thought iPods couldn't get any better, someone besides Apple does something like this to improve it. Simply stunning.

If this technology actually comes to fruition, it could change the way we approach imaging large areas.

Marketing campaigns can be powerful.

I love how integrated art and tech has become. I am totally thinking about crating something like this with cheap leftover screens from calculators.

The next generation of USB keys has been going for a while but I think it is finally mainstream.

Monday, September 24, 2007

What I found cool Sept. 15-23

Even though this really isn't a 'breakthrough' is is still nice to have 416GB of flash memory. Even if it is just a whole bunch of chips stacked together.

People who know me will be surprised and will make fun of me because of how much I actually want this wallet. Oh my goodness I haven't wanted a material thing more since the Optimus Prime when I was six.

These scupters out of books are great.

Quitting smoking has been hard for many people. One because on one likes a quitter. Also, because it isn't just the nicotine but also the fact that it keeps your hands busy. With that in mind, I really like this idea that kind of tackles the problem logically.

This website will be in Chinglish because it was translated roughly but the product itself would be coveted by many girls I know if they knew it existed.

USB3.0 will bring pretty much everything I want in an external hard drive. Think of it, direct full video and audio recording directly to an external hard drive.

These strollers were more shocking than cool. I cannot believe that we can actually barely afford our houses but are buying things such as these.

Where art meets the rich and the needs of the addicted is a great market to be in.

This "skateboard" isn't cool to me but it has gotten a lot of attention. So it slid in.

I like new things that seem to be from a Sci-fi movie. I probably wouldn't have believed how good this gel-tec stuff was until I saw this video.

Reusing manufactured goods that have outlived their first purposed with minimal energy use is great to see. Even more so when it looks cool.

I think I found the answer I will respond with every time a girl asks me what my type is... my type is her. Kind of kidding but kind of not.

Friday, September 14, 2007

Sep. 8 through Sept. 14

Golfing is fun and challenging. Tiger Woods golf the video game is fun. But if you are going to those lengths, just go outside.

Wondering what to do? If you were bacon or just about anything else, find your answer online.

Yamaha isn't the first company I think of when I think of amazing/cutting edge sound editing gear.

Finding what I want you to see on this website takes directions. Click 'Work' and the the Troja lamp. I want one or want to make one STAT.

If you are ever stuck outside and can't find shelter, just act like a caterpiller and build a cocoon.

Supposedly this watch is really worth $480,000. It is hard for me to put a price that large on anything but human life.

I am not political but maybe George W. Bush could use this time table.

I like practicality and this company does a good job at it.

I totally want this toaster to make all of my Christmas gifts with. Just think how cool a little kid would feel at lunch if they had a PB&J with no crust, toasted, and PERSONALIZED.

Even though there are better ways to purify water, this waterbottle makes sense and gives you the convenience of speed, which the other methods lack.

With how advanced we have become as a speicies, we still rely on something that is ever changing. I hope we correct this soon.

I like 'toys' that adults buy to learn and play. If you like bugs, this is actually very cool.

Speaking of cool practical gadgets, living in the south could be much less of a pain with this safety tool.

What I found Cool Sept. 1-7 2007

Thinking about throwing a party? This fishbone ice tray is awesome.

I really hope that this video isn't gone but the affect of frame rate is very interesting on a helicopter.

I enjoy books because it is is a snapshot of someone's life. Hence why I loved this photo collection.

Google earth never ceases to amaze me.

Sometimes,
penguins make the coolest tech items.

Had a hard breakup? The way to a man's heart is through his stomach. Get over him the same way. Grab this knife set and get to cooking.

Is this 'catch all' plate art? Or is it just dang cool.

Indie girls rejoice! These boots are perfect for your rainy day.

Want your kid to be a doctor? Buy these socks.

With these speakers I might shatter a window. But I still want it like whoa.

Jewelry is expensive unless it is something a guy would like to have.

Almost got this hand to watch and then learn to play the piano duet style with.

I had my glow worm but kids today are spoiled.

Even back during WWII we had skills like a ninja. This is just incredible to me.

Skull-a-day is interesting but this skull is just plain cool. I love how Motley Crue is the first one I see.

This last link might take a few tries or a bit to load but I am seriously thinking of buying a remote that makes us all laugh. Then wirer it to work with my TV.

What I found Cool Aug. 27-31 2007

This great new online photo editing software called fotoflexer is actually pretty good.

A crazy Epoq watch with a screen that can play movies and 1GB of storage.

The perfect gift for the little punk rocker, a spiderman tattoo kit.

I was on the verge of saying that they don't make transformers like they used to until I saw the new Star Wars one.

The whole Tay Zonday has been spoofed pretty far and wide but
Darth's stands out to me.

To continue on the Star Wars train, can you believe that it has become big enough to involve NASA? Choo Choo!

Some people say that science isn't sleek but I beg to differ Rosendahl seems to have done a good job.

Going from reading the temperature to burning up the road, I actually like what Chevy has done to the electric car.

I thought that 1TB discs would be more publicized but it never showed up in US news channels from what I saw. Seriously, 1TB of data on a disc?

Normally I play Switzerland in company battles but a video about the Microsoft Zune phone was funny.

Check out these candles. Perfect for the girl geek.

WOW. Okay, so I had to add this final tech link of the week. 3D Holographic displays... oh yes.
